A new hiking trail (2.4 round trip loop) opened in 2007 in the Fort Davis area. The Madera Trail begins at the Lawrence E. Wood picnic area north of Fort Davis on Hwy 118. For more information, click here to see an interpretive panel from the trailhead describing the new trail.
