GO TEXAN promotes the products, culture and communities that call Texas home.

Find the best wines, food and Texas-produced products in West Texas. The GO TEXAN program, launched by the Texas Department of Agriculture in 1999, promotes the products, culture and communities of Texas.

Eat at the regional restaurants that bring Texas to the Table. The GO TEXAN Restaurant Program, established in January 2008 as a part of the Texas Department of Agriculture's GO TEXAN Certification Program, links participating Texas restaurant establishments to local producers and other Texas-grown or processed food products to bring the quality of Texas to the table!

At the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), we work hard to help those who rely on the fruits of the land: the peach, apple, olive and pecan growers; the cheese and sausage producers; and the grape growers and winemakers.

"In line with this goal, TDA launched the GO TEXAN Restaurant Program in early 2008. The program’s mission is to connect Texas producers with Texas restaurant owners and chefs in every way possible. These efforts will result in more Texas products on more Texas menus.

The food on our table is so closely connected to the people and communities that surround us. Texas offers top-notch products resulting from the tireless efforts of Texas producers, and GO TEXAN connects those local producers with consumers. Agriculture touches each of our lives and is a dynamic economic engine that powers the Lone Star State’s economy. I invite you to delight in the bounty of Texas agriculture. In Texas, it’s part of all of us."

— Commissioner Todd Staples, Texas Department of Agriculture
